California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Compliance
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants California residents enhanced rights concerning the collection, use, and sale of their personal information. At Narvuk, we prioritize your privacy and are fully committed to complying with the CCPA, ensuring that California residents have the control and transparency required over how their personal data is handled.
Your Rights Under the CCPA
If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you specific rights over your personal information. These rights are designed to provide you with greater transparency and control over your personal data. Below are your rights under the CCPA:
- Right to Know: You have the right to request the details of the specific personal information we have collected about you over the past 12 months. This includes the categories of information collected, the sources of this information, the purposes for collecting it, and the third parties with whom we share it. Additionally, you can request details about any personal information we have sold or disclosed for business purposes.
- Right to Access: You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, including copies of specific pieces of information. We will provide this information in a readily accessible format, typically via email or a downloadable file.
- Right to Delete: You have the right to request that we delete any personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions. These exceptions include, but are not limited to, situations where the information is necessary to complete a transaction, provide a requested service, detect security incidents, or comply with legal obligations.
- Right to Opt-Out of the Sale of Personal Information: While Narvuk does not sell personal information, you have the right to opt-out of any future sale of your personal data. In the event that Narvuk decides to engage in such activities, you will be notified, and a clear mechanism will be provided to opt-out.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: Narvuk will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. This means we will not deny you services, charge you different prices, provide a different quality of service, or penalize you in any way for exercising your rights under the CCPA.
- Right to Correct Inaccuracies: You have the right to request corrections to any inaccurate personal data that Narvuk holds about you. We will work with you to promptly update any incorrect or outdated information.
How to Exercise Your CCPA Rights
If you are a California resident and wish to exercise any of your CCPA rights, you may submit a verifiable consumer request by contacting us through one of the following methods:
- Email: privacy@narvuk.com
Please provide sufficient detail to allow us to understand and verify your request, including your name, email address, and any other necessary identifying information. You may submit a request no more than twice within a 12-month period.
Verification Process
In order to protect your privacy and ensure that no unauthorized person accesses or deletes your personal information, we may request additional information to verify your identity. This verification process may involve requesting specific personal information, confirming details about your recent interactions with us, or other reasonable steps to confirm that the request is legitimate.
For authorized agents acting on behalf of a consumer, we may require proof of written authorization or a power of attorney as well as verification of the agent's identity.
Authorized Agents
If you choose to have an authorized agent submit a request on your behalf, the agent must provide proof that you have granted them written permission to act on your behalf. This could be in the form of a power of attorney or other verifiable document. We may also require verification of the agent's identity to ensure they have appropriate authorization.
